Auxiliary Offers Hotel Suite for NICU Families

The UConn Health Center Auxiliary has partnered with the nearby Homewood Suites to provide an extended-stay suite for NICU families. Parents with a newborn in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit can stay in the suite, known as The Family Place, at no cost to them. Homewood Suites is located on Farm Glen Boulevard in Farmington, about a half-mile away from the Health Center. Auxiliary Facilitator Irene Engel and Mary Ntiri, the first parent to stay in The Family Place, are featured in this report by NBC30.
