Health Center Offers Program on Immune System

FARMINGTON – As part of its Discovery Series, the University of Connecticut Health Center will host a free program on Thursday, December 3, titled "Aging and the Immune System."
The program begins at 7 p.m. in the health center's Keller Auditorium. The guest speaker will be Dr. William B. Ershler of the clinical research branch of the National Institute on Aging, which is part of the National Institutes of Health.
Ershler will discuss how the immune system changes as we age, the effectiveness of vaccines later in life and ways to boost the immune system.
