Specialist in Prevention and Treatment of Ovarian Cancer Joins Neag Cancer Center

FARMINGTON, CONN. – Molly Brewer, M.D., has been appointed the director of gynecologic oncology at the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Brewer, who specializes in the prevention and treatment of ovarian cancer, sees patients at the Farmington campus.

A Farmington resident, Dr Brewer comes to the Health Center from the Arizona Cancer Center at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she was the director of the cancer center’s gynecologic oncology division. Prior to that, she was the division director of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School.

Dr. Brewer earned her medical degree from the College of Medicine at the State University of New York at Syracuse and completed her residency at Oregon Health Sciences in Portland. She held fellowships at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She also holds a master’s degree in statistical analysis and clinical research design from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in Ann Arbor. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology.
