Farmington Valley Subject of Exhibit

What: “Four Seasons of the Valley” photography by Carol Lowbeer of Farmington

Where: Main and Mezzanine Lobbies, UConn Health Center, 263 Farmington Ave., Farmington

When: July 10 through September 17, daily 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

About the artist:
Carol Lowbeer’s photographs feature portraits and landscapes of the Farmington Valley and surrounding areas. Using photographic special effects and incorporating watercolor, pen and ink, and charcoal, Lowbeer enhances her unique artistic images. She says photography allows her to capture forever the sweetest moments of life.

Her work has appeared in community newspapers, and she has exhibited at the Audubon Society’s Annual Exhibition at Elizabeth Park’s Pond House Gallery, as well as the Farmington and Canton libraries. She is a member of the Charter Oak Photographic Society of West Hartford, and the Connecticut Professional Photography Association, among others.

She studied photography at the New York Institute of Photography, the New England Institute of Professional Photographers and with master photographers.
