New Home for UConn Dermatology

Now Seeing Patients on 21 South Road in Farmington

FARMINGTON, CONN. – The UConn Health Center’s Department of Dermatology recently moved to a new, state-of-the-art office on 21 South Road, just around the corner from the main Health Center campus. In the new space, UConn experts will continue to provide a full range of medical, surgical and cosmetic services.

“We provide comprehensive medical and surgical services in the evaluation and treatment of all diseases of the skin, hair and nails for adults and children, including highly specialized services,” said Jane M. Grant-Kels, M.D., department chair. “We offer patients today’s best technologies as well as the highest quality care from providers who are leaders in the field of dermatology. Our dermatologists are board certified and many have additional training. They have extensive experience and a vast array of special clinical interests to serve our patients.”

UConn’s Department of Dermatology is the largest dermatology practice. It offers the region’s only total body imaging program for patients at increased risk for skin cancer; a Mohs surgery suite for today’s most advanced and effective treatment for skin cancer; and an on-site dermatopathology lab where all cases are processed and interpreted.

Other specialty services include podiatry, psoriasis care including an infusion center, phototherapy, cosmetic dermatology, laser surgery, and multidisciplinary melanoma and cutaneous oncology services including specialists in dermatology, dermatologic surgery, oncology and oncologic surgery.

“Our faculty has years of experience treating both routine and complex skin diseases,” Dr. Grant-Kels added.

UConn experts also provide dermatology services in the East Hartford office of UConn Health Partners at 99 Ash Street. To learn more about UConn’s Department of Dermatology, visit www.dermatology.uchc.edu
