FARMINGTON, CONN. – Following are photos from Our Hearts to Your Soles, an annual Thanksgiving week effort to provide shoes and free foot care at homeless shelters throughout the country. On November 24, health care providers from the University of Connecticut Health Center staffed two locations in New Britain: the Salvation Army on Franklin Square and the Friendship Service Center on Arch Street. Red Wing Shoes donated several thousand pairs of shoes for this cause, and Soles4Souls, a nonprofit that facilitates the donation of footwear, distributed them.
