Surgeon Joins UConn Health Center

Dr. Linda Barry Specializes in Minimally Invasive Procedures

FARMINGTON, CONN. – Dr. Linda Barry, a general surgeon, has joined the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Barry is an expert in complex pancreatic and liver surgeries, as well as minimally invasive techniques for more common surgeries. She joins the UConn Health Center from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and Tampa General Hospital, where she completed an advanced GI and minimally invasive surgery fellowship. She also completed a hepatobiliary fellowship at the University of Southern California and a surgical residency at the University of California San Francisco in 2005. She was in private practice for several years in San Francisco. Her medical degree is from Cornell University Medical College in New York, and she is a graduate of Yale University.

Barry, who now lives in Hartford, was featured in a cover story in the September issue of the journal Women in Surgery, Careers on the Cutting Edge, a publication of General Surgery News.
