Dermatologist Joins UConn Health Center
Dr. Omar Ibrahimi: Expert in Mohs, Laser, Cosmetic Surgery
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Dr. Omar Ibrahimi has joined the University of Connecticut Health Center and is now seeing patients at Department of Dermatology, 21 South Road, Farmington.
Ibrahimi is director of cutaneous laser and cosmetic surgery and has expertise in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery. He also holds a faculty appointment at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, known as the leading center for laser and light therapy, where he collaborates with Harvard University scientists on his research of Mohs surgery and laser use.
Ibrahimi is fellowship trained in Mohs, laser and cosmetic surgery from the University of California-Davis. He completed his residency in dermatology at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital. He holds an M.D./Ph.D. degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He has contributed more than 40 publications and book chapters and has spoken at several national conferences on Mohs and reconstructive surgery and laser-related topics.
