Watercolors Highlighted in New Exhibit

What: Colorful Perceptions by Ursula Korzenik

Where: Main and Mezzanine lobbies, UConn Health Center, 263 Farmington Avenue, Farmington 

When: Now through February 22, 2012, daily 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

About the Artists:

Ursula Korzenik enjoys using a variety of styles in her artwork and is inspired by impressionist landscapes. She has exhibited in many juried shows including at such venues as the West Hartford and Wintonbury art leagues, the New Britain Museum of American Art, Hartford's Christ Church Cathedral, and the Gallery on the Green in Canton. She has won prizes including third place at the National Arts Program, Washington D.C., and has had solo exhibits at the West Hartford Public Library and the Butler McCook House in Hartford. The Uniworld Boutiques Rive Cruise Line commissioned six of her artworks, and she was included in the 25th anniversary edition of Marquis Who's Who of American Women.

Korzenik, of Hartford, attended the University of Hartford's art school, and has studied at the West Hartford Art League and attended watercolor workshops in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She is a member of numerous art organizations.

The University of Connecticut Health Center’s collection of fine arts serves to enhance the environment and promote the sense of a caring community for patients, visitors, staff and students.
