Orthopaedic Surgery APRN Joins UConn Health Center

FARMINGTON, CONN. – Andrea Osipiak, a nurse practitioner specializing in orthopaedics, is now seeing patients at the UConn Health Center.

Osipiak works closely with the UConn’s orthopaedic surgeons and can offer same-day appointments, enhancing patient access to the orthopaedic surgery team for surgical and nonsurgical treatment of musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors and congenital disorders.

Osipiak joins UConn from New York University, where she practiced after earning a Master of Science in nursing.
As an advanced practice registered nurse, Osipiak can prescribe and adjust medications, medical equipment, physical and occupational therapy, and home health services. She also can order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory studies for further conservative care or in preparation for surgical intervention.
