Health Center Marks National Nurses Week May 2 Through 7

The Health Center will be celebrating National Nurses
Week beginning Sunday, May 2 through Friday, May 7. Thanks
to the generosity of the Danforth O’Neil Fund, there’s an
extensive calendar of educational programs offered
throughout the week. The Danforth O’Neil Fund was
established in 1983 when registered nurse Claire O’Neil
retired after serving as assistant hospital director and
director of nursing at John Dempsey Hospital. The fund
is dedicated to the education of nurses and supports
lectures, seminars and educational materials. This
year’s programs have a particular focus on shared governance
and magnet status.
