‘Lock Your Meds’ Campaign Features ED Physician

Dr. Richard Kamin from the UConn Health Center Emergency Department is featured in a public education campaign about the proper storage and disposal of prescription drugs.

The Department of Consumer Protection selected Kamin as the physician spokesman for radio and television public service announcements running through the end of June.

DCP’s Prescription Monitoring Program initiated the "Lock Your Meds" campaign in an effort to slow the trend of increasing abuse of over-the counter medications by teens.
