Dr. Craig Rodner is an orthopaedic surgeon who is also an accomplished educator; Dr. Biree Andemariam is a hematologist who also conducts world-class research; and Anthony Kuzia is a cardiology nurse who advocates for his patients every day. These are the real-life stars behind a new television advertising campaign for the Health Center. Several second-year medical students are also featured in the ad.
In all, the ad was designed to showcase the Health Center’s unique role as an academic medical center, where caregivers hold dual and sometimes triple roles in the realms of education, research and clinical care. The end of the ad focuses on a patient who has experienced a positive outcome as a result of the Health Center’s commitment to research, education and clinical care.
"Our goal was to celebrate the strengths that make the Health Center unique in our region," says Maureen McGuire, director of marketing and communications. She said the ad will air for several weeks in October and November, and into 2011, on local broadcast and cable stations. It will be supported by ongoing radio, print, web and multimedia advertising to help maintain awareness about Health Center services and providers.
