Discovery Series Returns for Fall Season

After taking a break for the summer, the Discovery Series is back for a new season of timely and informative programs on a variety of health topics.
The Discovery Series is the Health Center’s popular health and wellness lecture series that offers monthly programs with information on a variety of health topics. The programs are presented by Health Center experts.
Upcoming Discovery Series programs include:
- Tuesday, September 21: Tame the Pain®
Learn about innovative treatments and techniques for those suffering with chronic spine pain. Presented by UConn’s Comprehensive Spine Center. - Tuesday, October 5: Exploring Heart Rhythm Disorders
Learn about heart rhythm disorders and treatments with devices such as pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and cardiac ablation. Presented by the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center. - Thursday, October 28: Joint Preservation and Replacement
Learn about new advances on how to diminish knee and hip pain and help you continue the activities you enjoy. - Tuesday, November 9: Hand Disorders
Get a grip and keep your hands free from pain. Learn about the latest treatments for problems such as tendinitis, trigger finger, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Discovery Series programs are free and open to the public. Programs begin at 7 p.m. in the Keller Auditorium, Farmington. Registration is required as seating is limited.
