What a Cure for the Common Cold Could Mean
Researchers at the University of Maryland say a genetic analysis of the common cold virus has uncovered vulnerabilities that eventually could lead to a cure—or at least a very effective treatment—for the common cold. Dr. Raymond Foley, who specializes in pulmonary medicine, talks about what this could mean, particularly for those with more serious respiratory problems such as asthma or COPD.
