Study Substantiates Advantages to Wrist Angioplasty

Researchers at the Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute in Miami recently presented data suggesting angioplasty through the wrist may be the best way to unblock arteries. The technique, known has radial artery angioplasty, has been practiced at the UConn Health Center for a decade. Dr. Michael Azrin, director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and the Interventional Cardiology Program at the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center, spoke with WTIC NewsTalk 1080.
