Sandy Cloud to Lead UConn Health Board
The UConn Health Center board of directors is getting new leadership.
Current board chairman Dr. Gerard N. Burrow announced Friday that he will be stepping down from his position Aug. 31, replaced by current Vice Chair Sanford I. "Sandy'' Cloud Jr.
When Cloud assumes his new role Sept. 1, he also becomes a trustee of the University of Connecticut.
Cloud, 66, who is chairman and CEO of The Cloud Co., a Hartford real estate development firm, has served on the health center's board for six years.
Cloud is also a trustee of Northeast Utilities and a director of insurer The Phoenix Cos., both Hartford companies.
His son, Adam, is treasurer for the city of Hartford.
