Studying Heart Problems in Breast Cancer Survivors

A woman diagnosed with breast cancer is more likely to die of heart disease than her cancer. Dr. Erick Avelar, an expert in cardiac imaging, is leading a study funded by the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative that aims to learn more about the effects of chemotherapy on heart health.
