Kenneth Cohen Demonstrates QiGong and Its Role in Healing at UConn Health Center

FARMINGTON, CONN. - Kenneth Cohen, internationally renowned health educator, will visit UConn Health Center Wednesday, March 24, for presentations on QiGong and Native American Healing. He will give two lectures: one at noon on QiGong in the Faculty/Staff Dining Room, and another at 7 p.m. on Native American medicine in the Patterson Auditorium. Cohen is the author of The Way of QiGong: The Art and Sciences of Chinese Energy Healing and, more recently, Honoring the Medicine: The Essential Guide to Native American Healing. His visit is one of a series of programs sponsored by the project grant for Educational Development for Complementary and Alternative Medicine given to the School of Medicine by the American Medical Student Association Foundation to introduce our medical students and faculty to complementary and alternative medicine. The evening presentation will include drumming, chanting and story telling and Cohen will sign his books, which will be available for purchase.
