Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Is Seeing Patients in UConn’s Simsbury Office
Rajiv Chandawarkar, M.D., Offers Full Complement of Services
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Rajiv Y. Chandawarkar, M.D., a cosmetic plastic surgeon who is fellowship trained in cancer reconstructive surgery, now sees patients in the Simsbury office of the University of Connecticut Health Center on 381 Hopmeadow Street.
Dr. Chandawarkar offers state-of-the-art reconstructive services as well as a full complement of aesthetic surgical procedures including facial plastic surgery, tummy tucks, breast lifts, breast augmentation, breast reduction, liposuction and more.
Dr. Chandawarkar joined the Health Center last year from the prestigious M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas in Houston, where he completed fellowship training in cancer reconstruction and microvascular surgery in the department of plastic surgery.
He received a master of surgery degree from the University of Bombay in India and completed post-graduate training in surgery and surgical oncology in India and Japan. In addition, he completed a research fellowship in the head and neck service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and a research fellowship in cancer immunology at Fordham University in New York.
Prior to his training at M.D. Anderson, Dr. Chandawarkar completed a general surgery residency at Akron General Medical Center in Ohio and a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Summa Health System and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, also in Akron.
