Celebrate Aging Programs: April 2005
Farmington, Conn. – Celebrate Aging, a free membership program for men and women designed to address the many issues of aging in a positive way, is offering several educational programs in April.
Healthy Aging: Experts from the UConn Center on Aging will present strategies for happy and healthy aging on Wednesday, April 6, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Knoxlane Housing Facility on Hubbard Street in Glastonbury and on Wednesday, April 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Glastonbury Senior Center.
Care of the Aging Skin: Jane Grant-Kels, M.D., chair of the Department of Dermatology at UConn Health Center, will present essential information for the care of aging skin on Thursday, April 28, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Health Center’s Onyiuke Dining Room. Dr. Grant-Kels will focus on how to recognize the signs of skin cancer as well as ways to reverse or slow down the toll of aging on the skin.
