Forum will Look at Insurance Coverage for Fertility Services

Free Program at the UConn Health Center

FARMINGTON, CONN – Now that Connecticut has passed legislation mandating insurance coverage for fertility services, how can couples be sure their care is covered? Are all services covered? To answer these and many other questions, a free forum will be held on Monday, May 8, at 7 p.m., in the Keller Auditorium of the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington.

The program is being sponsored by the Greater Hartford Chapter of Resolve, a national infertility association. Speakers will include experts from the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services at UConn Health Center.

Last year, Connecticut joined all of its neighboring states and passed legislation requiring most health insurance policies to cover the cost of diagnosing and treating infertility. However, the law has some limitations, including age restrictions for some patients.

To register for the May 8 program, contact barry.sheri@gmail.com or call 860-712-8161.
