Exhibit Features Nature Up Close
What: “Organic Matters” – Photographs by Linda Klapatch of Wethersfield, Conn.
Where: Hospital and Mezzanine Lobby, UConn Health Center, 263 Farmington Ave., Farmington
When: May 25 through July 26, daily 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
About the artist:
Linda Klapatch explores the fascinating qualities of nature as a
painter, sculptor, illustrator and photographer. Influenced by childhood
nature trips, she continues to travel, inspired by the natural
environments, which she describes as “untamed, untouched, and almost
immaculate.” She is particularly interested in the idea of natural
destruction and exploring the structure and disorder found in nature and
science. Currently enrolled at UConn’s School of Fine Art, Ms. Klapatch
has worked in graphic design, illustration, advertising, silk-screening
and mixed media on a commission basis.
