Now Available in East Hartford: Expert Services from the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center

FARMINGTON, CONN. – Many of the expert services of the University of Connecticut Health Center’s Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center, including today’s most sophisticated diagnostic technologies, are now available in the East Hartford office of UConn Health Partners on 99 Ash Street.

Services include stress testing, using exercise testing as well as stress-echo. Other services include echocardiography and ankle-brachial index studies to diagnose vascular problems. All tests are supervised by UConn cardiologists.

In addition, Peter Schulman, M.D., a cardiologist with expertise in echo testing and non-invasive cardiology, sees patients for ongoing care in the East Hartford office. Dr. Schulman helps patients manage heart disease as well as risk factors for heart disease, such as cholesterol disorders.

“We are very pleased to offer the services of the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center – one of the region’s only comprehensive cardiology programs – east of the river. Now, patients won’t always have to drive to Farmington for world-class care,” said Bruce T. Liang, M.D., director of the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center.

The East Hartford office of UConn Health Partners is easily accessible from Connecticut Boulevard, I-84 and Route 2. Other services in UConn’s East Hartford office include dermatology, orthopaedics, sports medicine, care for osteoporosis, family medicine, primary care, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.
