UConn Names Health Center CFO

FARMINGTON, CONN. – The University of Connecticut recently named John M. Biancamano chief financial officer of the UConn Health Center.

Biancamano joins UConn after 18 years with Hartford Healthcare, where he served as vice president of finance and administration, treasurer, and chief financial officer. Hartford Healthcare is the parent organization of Hartford Hospital. He also has served as vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford and as a senior health care audit manager at Ernst & Young, one of the world’s largest professional services firms. Biancamano earned both his bachelor’s degree, in accounting, and M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. He serves on the board of the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority and VNA Healthcare, and his professional organization memberships include the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He lives in Wethersfield.
