About the Artists:
Kristine Angell studied graphic design and the fine arts at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh and watercolor at the Art Student League in New York City and at the Dolomites-Academy in Toblach, Italy. She has a Masters in Design Methods from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.

She has exhibited in New York City and in Villabassa and Toblach, Italy. Her work appears on the cover of Manhattan’s 2008-09 Jewish Community Center Catalogue and her works are in private collections in New York, Wisconsin, Brazil, and the Netherlands.

In addition, Angell has taught at SUNY/Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she lives.

New York City resident Madeline Peralta graduated from the La Guardia High School of Music and Art, where she started painting. She earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture at Pratt Institute, and studied art at the Student Art League and the Institute of Classical Architecture, all in New York City.

She has exhibited in a number of New York City shows and venues, and her works are in private collections in the United States as well as the Dominican Republic, Taiwan and Italy. Most of her artwork is done outdoors, en plein, and she says her goal is to capture on canvas the energy she sees all around her.

As an architect, she has worked with numerous healthcare institutions, including the Health Center. Peralta says painting has been a continual influence in her architectural work.
