Understanding Heart Rhythm Disorders

Free Discovery Series Program at UConn Health Center Feb. 26

FARMINGTON, CONN. – Cardiologists from the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center at the University of Connecticut Health Center will discuss heart rhythm disorders at a free Discovery Series program Thursday, February 26.

The program starts at 7 p.m. in the UConn Health Center’s Keller Auditorium. To register, call 800-535-6232.

Drs. Christopher Pickett and Heiko Schmitt, co-directors of the Calhoun Cardiology Center’s Heart Rhythm Program, will cover topics such as irregular heartbeats, also known as arrhythmias, pacemakers, implantable cardio defibrillators, and cardiac ablation surgery. Dr. Bruce T. Liang, director of the Calhoun Cardiology Center, will moderate.

To get to the UConn Health Center main entrance: Entering the campus from Route 4, at the first stop sign, continue straight. Bear left at the fork and continue up the hill.
