Match Day March 19
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Seventy-two student from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Class of 2009 will learn the next step in their career paths Thursday, March 19.
The UConn Health Center’s Match Day ceremony will start promptly at noon in the Massey Auditorium, where each student will receive an envelope that will reveal his or her residency program appointment.
Match Day is an annual tradition at medical schools across the United States, in which students’ choices for their post-doctoral training assignments are matched with the needs of teaching hospitals throughout the country as determined by a national computer database.
To get to the UConn Health Center main entrance: Entering the campus from Route 4, at the first stop sign, continue straight. Bear left at the fork and continue up the hill. The main entrance is straight past the next stop sign. Visitor parking is available on the other side of the gate.
