Photography Highlighted at UConn Health Center Exhibit
What: "From the Intimate to the Vast: Following the Traveler’s Eye" photographs by Michael Ardolino
Where: Main and Mezzanine lobbies, UConn Health Center, 263 Farmington Avenue, Farmington
When: September 25 through November 18, daily 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
About the Artist:
West Hartford native Michael Ardolino says
his passion for photography began when he received his first 35
millimeter SLR camera at the age of 13. He took graphic
communications and photography classes during high school and his
interest in photography continued during his college years as a
chemistry major at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. There he
became a staff photographer for the campus newspaper and by his
junior year had advanced to head photography editor. After spending
a semester in Siena, Italy, Ardolino returned with an impressive
portfolio of photographs, some of which appear in this show as well
as others from his later travels to Switzerland, Austria, Hungary
and Germany. “In every press of the shutter button, I attempt to
capture and create something new and different for me and all who
view my work,” states Ardolino.
