Geriatrician Joins UConn Center on Aging
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Dr. Jatupol Kositsawat is now seeing patients at the UConn Center on Aging at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Kositsawat’s areas of expertise include dementia, falls, and comprehensive geriatric assessment. He is board certified in geriatric medicine and internal medicine.
Kositsawat joins the UConn Health Center from Jackson, Miss., where he was a geriatrician at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center and assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed a geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, an internal medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, and an internal medicine internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. His medical degree is from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. He also has a doctorate of medical sciences from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health in epidemiology the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.
Kositsawat is a resident of Hartford.
