FARMINGTON, CONN. – Dr. Thomas Devers, a gastroenterologist who’s been practicing in central Connecticut for more than 35 years, is now seeing patients at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Devers specializes in treatment of biliary tract disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and esophageal motility. He is an expert in endoscopy, colonoscopy and other advanced diagnostic procedures.

Devers joins the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology following a distinguished career at the Hospital of Central Connecticut (formerly New Britain General Hospital), during which he also has served as an attending physician at the UConn Health Center and has been a member of the faculty at the UConn School of Medicine. Additionally, he served on the UConn Health Center Board of Directors in 2002, its first year.

Devers has been involved with the Health Center’s GI fellowship program for most of his career. His emphasis over the last 10 years has been on training first-year GI fellows in endoscopic techniques.
